STEM is an umbrella term used to group together the distinct but related technical disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Skills developed by students through STEM provide them with the foundation to succeed at school and beyond. Many schools also offer incentives to students studying STEM through scholarships and partnerships with cities and states.

Additionally, this field studies the interaction between humans and their physical, biological, and social environments, as well as the properties of drugs and medical products, including their manufacturing, control, and use in both the community and hospitals.
Social Science

Social science is one of the branches of science, devoted to the study of societies and the relationships among individuals within those societies. The branches of social science include anthropology, economics, political science, psychology, and sociology. It attempts to explain how society works, exploring everything from the triggers of economic growth and causes of unemployment to what makes people happy.
