About ARISE ARISE is a summer program hosted by NYU's Tandon School of Engineering. NYU Tandon collaborates with K-12 schools, teachers, and students to build careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). ARISE is a 10-week program that takes place at NYU, offering high-level research experience under the mentorship of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. It's designed for students with a strong interest in pursuing a career in STEM fields. - Program Length: 10 weeks (Monday-Friday, 9 am-4 pm) - Eligibility: High school students living in New York, graduating in June 2024 (10th or 11th grade) - Tuition: Full scholarship

Obtain a recommendation letter from an adult other than a family member. This person should be able to provide insights into your academic record, work ethic, and interests. 4. Essays - Why are you interested in participating in this program? What parts of the program are you most interested in? - Describe a social problem or dilemma impacted by the area of research you are interested in the most. - Identify the ways that you think your experience in ARISE will impact your STEM ambitions. - Tell us how you currently make a difference or the ways you plan on making a difference when it comes to supporting diversity in STEM.
